The American people must be actively involved in the process. We must speak up to make the issues known that are important to everyday Americans. We must not be swayed by the politics of the Special Interests as represented by too many of the elected Senators and Congressmen who have forgotten who they are representing in Washington. Their lack of being tuned in to what is important to the people back home, has played a significant role in bringing us to where we are today.
Democracy after all is a system of government that is "FOR THE PEOPLE BY THE PEOPLE". This is what we need to get back to in moving America forward as compared to where we have allowed the career Politicians, Corporations, Wall Street, and other Special Interests take us !
